This is the second time i visit this Shop… the first time i went was one year ago… and i remember that i give them not bad rating… and that was for Lunch… and few weeks back… i went there again for dinner… here’s what i think about the food there for Dinner…

just in case you cant manage to find the shop… the MeiZi Shabu-Shabu is just right opposite this Restaurant….

My mum and I ordered a couple set… and this is how it looks like

as usual the controller.. you get to control the “fire”

here come the soup… this is the sad part… previously i heard one of my colleague… Yow… said that they don’t serve spicy soup at night… so i start wondering.. izzit just for that day or they really don’t serve spicy / other soup at night… and… that day… i prove it d… they really don’t serve any other soup. except for the normal soup.. phew… the reason why i’m there cause i wanted to let my mama try the “yu tou mai” soup.. and they dont have that… sigh… and i hate the normal soup k….

the prawns…

the MeiZi Shabu-Shabu… hmmm Japanese Steamboat.. actually i wonder why they called it Japanese Steamboat arr… errr… is there anything look like japanese steamboat there? izzit the device? or the food? do Japanese Steamboat look like this oso?

they hang this all around the shop… look a bit.. errr

the fried shui gao… RM5 for this.. and i think is expensive.. and taste not nice.. don’t order…

ok… lets start cook

still cook… hmm seriously i dont like lor… the normal soup.. taste soo.. eee… even i add some sauce… also not nice…

and… i ordered the KimCi… the reason i ordered this cause i want the kim ci sauce to add it in the soup.. end up.. the soup still not nice lar.. not as nice as the one i ate at the other buffet steamboat that i went last time…. phew..

disappointed… haih… i think i will never go there at night again… sigh….

对这店真的有些大失所望。。。哎。。。晚餐真的不可以到这地方吃。。。他的汤料都普普而已。。。如果要吃汤料好吃的。。。很多地方都可以去。。。比如说Sri Petaling 的 Ho Ho Steamboat Cheras 的 点心之家(world of dim sum) 的steamboat可是粥底火锅。。。还有另一个Cheras火锅屋他的汤料也是一级棒的。。。

Went there once. At night too. Had bad experience burning my tongue. Hehe. Yea, nothing special, but I quite like the drink. Will try going next time during lunch time.

I believe its opened by a taiwanese. So I guess its not exactly japanese.
Was this the one in Puchong? I just went the one in Klang yesterday. Not too bad actually, but yeah I think kinda expensive. Anyway just started my own blog recently, do come and take a look. http://justin-ng.blogspot.com

                  Hi cherrie,

This is not Japanese shabu shabu. I had Japanese Shabu shabu at Hokkaido, they served fresh vegetable platter with thinly slice meat. And come with Ponzu and Goma sauce. No fishballs or yee mee. There is one very good Japanese Shabu Shabu in Town called Nagomi Shabu Shabu. That is what we really called Japanese Shabu Shabu. You should give it a try. Not too pricey if you choose beef and chicken set. Cheers!

                    Hi Tam,

of course this is not consider the real Japanese Shabu Shabu… i tried the shabu shabu at tokyo before.. is way different than what we have in Malaysia… hehe… i think the shop should change their name :p
