Post for: 6th April 2008

When we reach KLIA it was just 11:55pm (5th April 2008)… The flight that we taking to Egypt is Qatar Airways which is a 5 star airways. First of all we taking Qatar Airway to Doha which will take us around 7 1/2 hours… the flight depart around 3:35am… and reach Doha around 6am (Doha time).

Remark: Doha time is 5 hours different with Malaysia time…

That’s not all… after we reach Doha… we went for breakfast… and some city tour at Doha… after that we take flight again.. to Alexandria… which will take another around 3 1/2 hours.

KL – Doha 03:35am to 06:00am
Doha – Alexandria 15:55pm to 18:25pm

ok.. let’s start see pictures… i took around 125 pictures… here’s part of it… quite a lot actually… phew…

woo wooo… reach Doha d…

Yeap, after 7 hours++ finally we reach Doha d… this is one of the plane from Qatar Airways…

this is another Qatar plane….

this is the plane we took from Malaysia to Doha… this is a big plane.. seriously… is nice… the seats is normal.. then what is so nice about this flight? why izzit called as 5 star airways? hmm… one of the thing that i really like is the entertainment they provide in the flight… normally if is a long journey flight, customer will be able watch the designated movies… but for Qatar Airways.. there’s lots of movies… really a lot.. new and old… hmm… that’s why i won’t feel boring throughout the whole journey…

After we reach Doha… we went to this restaurant… Kebab King for breakfast… hmm.. Kebab… Kebab… this is what i waiting for.. Kebab should be quite nice right.. hehehe.. yum yum… let’s see what they have in there..

Their pepper and salt container so cute… hehe…. now we will know which is pepper or salt easily.. hehe

err.. this is bread with cheese… err.. where’s the kebab arr?

that’s all i get from the buffet… no kebab at all.. -_-” yeah.. we went to Kebab King Restaurant to have buffet.. but.. there’s no Kebab at all.. so weird.. ee…

this chef is so busy cooking eggs… so many people queue up for the eggs… the chef keep flip flip flip to cook the egg for everyone

come come.. let’s take a group picture right in front of this Kebab King which don’t serve kebab…

we took pic in the van after the breakfast.. hehe

oo.. check out the car right in front of the Kebab King Restaurant.. so cute… check out the number plate… can you read them without the number below?

This guy is our guide in Doha.. his name is Nima… he’s not local.. he’s from Nipal… so he can’t get those benefits that the government gave to the local… he’s a nice guy… but he only guide us for only few hours.

After breakfast we went to the City Center Mall to have a walk… walk around… hmm.. actually we didn’t walk much… just for awhile… and actually there’s nothing much to shop in there.. just like normal shopping we have in KL area… According to the guide, their electronic gadgets is cheap… cause there’s no tax.. but after we check on the price… is not that cheap…

take a look at the shopping complex… there’s quite a lot of local shop here

They have carrefour there too…

walk walk walk… suddenly I saw this shop…

Kind of like this three dresses… so nice.. but at the same time is very expensive…

woo.. they have giornado here too… didn’t went in check out the price.. just pass by to the toilet only.. hehehe

hmm… this shopping mall is quite big ooo… and the time they gave us to shop here is kind of little…

After that we went to the sea-front Corniche.

this is a very important places for Doha. You can take a look at the new and old Doha.

me taking pic @ Cornicle…

This is the nice spot…

quite nice… but at the same time.. quite hot too..

ok.. group picture time again…

Doha is a nice place… like the decoration on the wall… quite artistic… and looks like have some story on it…

on the way to the airport… we saw lots of things. The doha we went we saw lots of construction going on there.

check out the new buildings they building @ Doha

err.. what symbol is this arr? hmm

there’s lot of new and old building in Doha…

there’s old building like this…

even those look like castle…

and this… actually the guide did told me what this building for… but.. i forgot already.. hahaha.. can you see the building on the left? that one i know… that’s the islamic information building.

check out all the buildings in new Doha

really lots of construction building in Doha… Doha hardly see plant there.. but can see lots of dessert / sand around

The best thing about Doha is… citizen of Doha don’t need to pay tax (ya, income tax.. no income tax), water bill, electric bill, and land line phone bill… isn’t that cool? and a lots of other benefits…. so good can?

after the city tour @ Doha… is time for us to go Alexandria again…

yeah.. is flying time again…

once we reach Alexandria… the first thing we do is go to the Fish Market for dinner.

there’s a small welcome from the local at the fish market restaurant.

what is he doing? he’s baking the pita bread…

so cute can…

and yummy… the chef there actually bake the bread right in front of us.. so when they serve the bread… is all hot.. and yummy

chef there is so cute… when he saw us taking pictures of him, he will actually post for us to take photos.

they look so friendly and nice… the fish there look yummy tooo

when we reach the restaurant.. they already serve some food… which includes:

this sauce… look weird.. but taste not bad.. something different… which we can’t get it in malaysia easily…

and this pita bread.. is crunchy… yummy and hot… freshly bake

and here comes the lemon.. with special “deco” by doing this… the lemon seed won’t easily fall on the food.

and this is the potato salad that i heart…

and this.. is the vege… looks weird right.. and actually taste weird too… can’t really take the taste of it… it taste tooo vege….

and this is another sauce… taste a bit spicy than the previous sauce.

and here comes the cucumber and vege salad… hmm… don’t really like the taste, cause they added some local spices, which i can’t really take the smell…

kekeke… posing with the pita bread…

Yummy Rating: 6/10
Price: unknown
Remark: this is our main dish, the fish and rice, this is the dish that you can eat together with the lemon… actually i saw some local and foreigner having their dinner there.. and the dish they ordered look much nicer than this.. they have salmon, prawn, big prawn and etc… looks more delicious… i’m sure this restaurant can do much better than what i ate…

and lastly is the dessert.. this is nice…. yummy.. is sooo chocolate…

After dinner.. is time to go back Hotel d.. phew.. finally we can really sleep… after so many hours.. phew… tonight we gonna stay at Hilton Alexandria Green Plaza… is a nice place with lots of shops around… really sad that we don’t have enough energy to walk around that night. Once we reach there.. we just able to walk in the Hotel to look for the swimming pool area, and that’s it… cause is too tired already… there’s something special about this Hotel, the drawings in this Hotel is really nice… If you have chance to stay here, remember to take a look at the drawings in the Hotel.

          the two dishes…

the tan dip (sauce) with the leaves in it looks like hummus. it’s made from chick peas (or garbonzo beans), tahini (sesame seed paste), garlic, lemon juice and olive oil.

the vegetable looks a lot like beets. it’s a root vegetable. i don’t like the root a lot, but the leaves taste like spinach or chard. the whole thing is very high in iron and is very good for you. my mom used to make pickles of them but i never liked them.
