After the last checkup at Malacca.. doctor feel that my sugar blood is a bit too high… so he recommend me to go for another blood test to double check on my glucose… phew.. so i have to go Pathlab again.. to do another SPEACIAL test on the GTT.. hmm hmm…
when for the test on 27th November 2008… it was a Thursday… ya i know.. the whole week my sis was with me.. but.. she didn’t accompany me for the test… cause.. i let her rest at home.. better get enough sleep lar.. i think she got not enough sleep ever after she come to muar.. hahaha…
so… how was the test.. hmm… went there.. only get to know that.. this test.. they are suppose to take my blood and urine for three times.. ya.. take blood from my hand.. first.. is right hand.. then left hand then right hand again.. phew.. why three times? hmm i’m not sure about it… but first of all.. the most important about this test is… i must FAST since the night before.. ya.. about 9pm start cannot eat… phew.. if is last time (before pregnant) still ok.. but now.. quite hard.. cause i will get hungry quite easy… -_-” but what to do.. i have to stay hungry.. till the next morning… okok
first thing first in the morning… when i reach Path Lab.. they told me that after the first test then i’m suppose to drink a super sweet 75ml drink… but i must hold it… i mean.. don’t puke… cause.. she said that.. lots of people can’t take that smell / taste… end up they puke it out.. and have to retake the test in the next day.. phew… so scary…
finally is my turn.. they ask me go toilet.. -_-” to take urine for test… phew… they should tell me earlier that they need to test on the urine as well.. cause… i just went toilet before i go Path Lab.. hahaha.. end up.. i just pass them a bit :p hahaha.. but the nurse say.. ya ya.. is good enough d… phew.. then.. after that they took my blood.. from my right hand… ya.. first from right hand.. then… they pass me a cup of super sweet drink.. which is about 75ml super sweet glucose drink.. i have to finish it… ya.. of course i finished it.. how it taste? SUPER SWEET.. seriously SUPER SWEET.. but i still can hold it.. i mean.. still can take the taste and smell.. didn’t puke it out… after drinking it… then i sit aside… and wait for 1 hour.. -_-” ya.. i sit in Path Lab.. did nothing for 1 hour.. they said is recommended not to move around… just sit there.. so i just sit there play with my phone… and FRING.. phew.. luckily still got FRING.. else.. will be quite boring…
waited for one hour.. then the nurse.. ask me go toilet again.. phew.. this time i don’t have to worry about the urine d.. hahaha.. cause… remember the 75ml super sweet drink… after toilet.. then they take my blood again from my left hand… phew.. imagine.. both hands with hole.. -_-” sigh..
after that.. i have to wait for another hour… then the same process.. then after that i’m allow to leave Path Lab.. phew… finally… actually this time i didn’t really worry about the test result.. hmm.. just a bit curious… how the result will be.. is my sugar blood that high… or just normal…
So today… Brandon fetch us (baby and I) to get the result… phew… and.. we ask the nurse about the result.. cause obviously we didn’t know how to read it right.. -_-” i just know that there’s three results… and the nurse said.. your result is normal.. no worry.. phew… so.. that’s it.. then i have to do another step.. which step? haha.. call doctor and tell him the result… so that he will let me know is normal or i need to go there for another check up or not….
so… when i reached office..i tried to call up doctor’s phone… end up the nurse… ask me my name… and ask me to call back in a while.. cause they have to locate my file first.. i was like.. err… -_-” ok… after awhile then i call back.. and tell doctor about the results..
Cherrie:”Hi doctor, i got the results d… but they gave me three numbers instead of two..”
Doctor:”Is ok.. just tell me the first one first”
Cherrie:”ok.. the first one is 4.6″
Doctor:”ok.. good.. then the after two hours reading is what?”
Cherrie:”erm.. how about the one hour one?”
Doctor:”oh.. that one no need… i just need to know the after two hours reading.”
i was like.. arr… then why they take my blood three times.. end up.. my hand got three extra hole.. hahaha… but actually nvm.. as long as evrything is normal then is ok… phew… scare me… actually if the result said that my sugar is high… then i will be very surprise… cause… i rarely drink or eat sweet foods / drinks… how can it be high right? i know that pregnant lady will get high sugar blood and high blood pressure easily… if i know that it will be high.. then i should have continue drink COKE or PEPSI d… shouldn’t have avoid those drinks.. hahaha.. but luckily my sugar blood is not high.. phew.. thanks god…
Baby.. we are safe… yeah… so.. what we do now is… wait till you come out k.. hopefully everything will be normal as usual
