Actually i quite looking forward to this dinner… cause… we gonna have “Pen Cai” 盆菜 as dinner… which they said will serve one Abalone for each person… isn’t that tempting? end up.. when we reach the Restaurant… the boss… was quite surprise when he saw us –_-“ he keep said sorry.. cause he totally forgot to prepare the dish for us –_-“ sad…. i tot i will be able to try out Pen Cai.. end up… we just as them to prepare some normal dish for us… –_-“

Way before Chinese New Year… i went to Wendy’s Office.. and saw this chunky bracelet… and straight i fall in love with it… knowing that Wendy is quite busy lately to finish all her Chinese New Year order… so i decided to buy those beads from her and go back bead them myself… hehe… above are the details of the bracelet… if you feel interested to buy it… you can take a look at Wendy’s site…

Really like how Wendy design this bracelet… is creative… check out how she actually put those bead together on the chain with the big jump ring… hmm… is creative… i did change a bit of the design and re-bead it myself… below is the one i did yesterday… It took me hours to finish it… seriously… is not easy.. especially there’s so many beads to put on it… is really very chunky.. i feel that the one i did is much more chunky than the original one that Wendy made…

first of all i put all the headpins on the beads first… that took me quite some time d… cause i have to find some replacement findings on the beads as well… and since the findings and bead that i have is quite limited so… hehehe

ok… after finish put the headpin on each of the beads… is time to allocate the beads… get a rough idea where i want to place each of them… and yeah.. beading board helps a lot on this… by putting the beads on the beading board they won’t roll here roll there.. and i can see the design easily

after a few hours… finally.. the whole bracelet is done.. you will get to notice that… i added more beads… cause… i think i put too many at the beginning.. so at the end there was quite empty… so i try to reallocate them and add a few beads that i have… and you will see that the toggle that i used is different too.. wanted to put a bigger toggle… but.. i didn’t have … besides that… the chain that i used is different too ^^

take a closer look… seriously…. i like the flower and the metal beads… they are soooo nice

isn’t this very chunky… keke… phew.. i think this is the most chunky collection of bracelet i ever have… hehe.. and seriously… by beading it yourself is sooo much fun…

although look slightly different with the one that Wendy initially design… but still.. i quite like it…

Yesterday Sam and I went to Wendy’s Office to have our Beading Class… hehehe… actually i just went there for fun… the real student is Sam… hehehe… i went there to disturb them and chit chat with them only… ^^ and of course snap some photos of them having class… hehehe…

Seriously… just like what Wendy said.. beading is addictive… i’m addicted to beading as well… just that recently i stop beading cause.. i got not enough bead already… still need to source more beads in order to create more jewelry… of course i won’t stop sourcing… but… i guess i have to put that on hold till after i give birth… ^^…

Yesterday Brandon did bring me to the Malacca shop where they sell quite a lot of beads (especially seed bead)… and they do sell some findings there… but seriously… the findings they selling in the shop is way too expensive… (but i still buy from them… cause some of it already out of stock, no choice but restock there)

ok.. let’s come back to the beading class that Wendy held at her office… been wanted to join the class ever since i know she teach… but she told me that the first two classes is basic class… so i don’t need to attend… maybe i can attend the next class.. hehehe.. but i think have to wait till she’s back from her holiday on April… yeah.. she’s going for holiday.. and yeap… she will be able to source more beautiful beads for us d… hehe…

ok.. i know… i’m out of topic d… let’s get back to the beading class yesterday… can’t blame me… cause whenever we talk about beading… we will talk non stop… hahaha.. right Wendy, Sam…

first of all… Wendy gonna teach Sam the beaded charm bracelet

Wendy brief Sam each and every single beads and finding that she used for the bracelet… and teach her how to put them on the beading board before start beading them…

besides that, Wendy will show Sam.. what’s the correct way to open and close jump ring… and how to create a perfect eyepin and headpin… seriously… is not easy… but once you get the technique then will be easy

Take a closer look at those beads and charm… each of them have a name… toggle… connector… seed bead… crimp beads… wire protector… glass pearl bead… charm…. and so on.. hehehe.. a lot of name to memorize…

ok… once we finish line up all the beads… is time for us to put them together in the metal wire…

just put them accordingly.. then tada… a brand new bracelet just born… isn’t it beautiful and pretty… seriously… right after you create the bracelet.. you can feel the happiness.. kekeke… and the sense of satifaction…

ok.. next gonna start do the 2nd bracelet… the metal chain charm bracelet

yeah.. first step… is put the bracelet according to the design you want… if you wanted to create two layer.. make sure you put it as how it should be on the beading board…

Today is the 9th day of chinese new year.. which is a big day for all the hokkien… i’m not hokkien.. neither Brandon… then why are we celebrating? hmm… i think is like a believe… cause they believe that praying during Chinese New Year Day 9 will bring luck… so… we celebrate too.. i mean pray… ^^

i expect lots of fireworks going on today… but sadly… there’s just a few going on… and.. is those small tiny one.. only one which is big… and i didn’t get to snap it.. cause didn’t get a good view of the fireworks… besides fireworks i saw lots of “Kong Ming” lantern around Muar Sky… seems like this is kind of “in” at Muar nowadays… guess what i did get a chance to snap a few photos of people putting it..

this is one of the material that we have to prepare for Chinese New Year Day 9… we actually have to get ready since 11pm on Chinese New Year Day 8…
